New 2017 Honda City Facelift

New Honda City launched, claimed as best City ever made with unlimited kilometre warranty.

The India-spec 2017 Honda City Facelift received subtle cosmetic upgrades. With minor reshuffling in features and mostly resemble the model launched in Thailand last year. Its arrival into the Indian market marked the revival of ‘City ZX‘ moniker as a new top of the line variant.

The new Honda City gets the front and rear changes inspired by the new Honda Civic. With the revised bumpers, and larger air dams, fog lamp housing, thick chrome band running into headlight cluster LED inserts on tail lamps, integrated with LED lamps, 10 mm raised suspension, 16-inch alloys instead of 15-inchers, boot spoiler with the middle LED stop light.

Honda City Facelift Price

The Honda City Facelift Price of the mid-size sedan is priced not so different from the current model at nearby Rs.8.5 Lakh to 13.5 Lakh however it gets a minor increase of 20K-25K from the existing variants.

The petrol engine in a region of 17.4 kmpl -18 kmpl. The diesel engine is claimed to deliver 25.6 kmpl.



Honda City Facelift Engine and Specification

The 2016 Honda City Facelift grasped its power line-up. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated V-TEC petrol engine produces 120 hp power and 140 Nm of peak torque and comes mated to the five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine makes 100 hp and 220 Nm of torque connected to a five-speed manual transmission.

The China-spec City dimensional larger as preferred by that particular market buyers. However, the dimensions of the Indian remains the same. It measures about the 4,440 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, 1,495 mm in height, 2,600 mm in wheelbase and 165 mm ground clearance.

The front fascia features the bolder front grille with the chrome strip running across while the changes to bumpers and headlight replicate the latest generation Honda Civic sedan. The top-end trims receive a blackened B-pillar as opposed to body coloured B pillars in lower variants. The rear end gets a substantial upgrade with flowing, longer taillamps and the reverse light and indicators are placed in the end. Additionally, probably the chrome strip runs across from one end to the other.

The top-end variants of the Honda City will feature LED headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lights. Aggressive chrome garnish on front grille that runs directly into the headlights, reworked bumper with the new fog lamp housing and air intake, a new set of alloy wheels and a new Cosmic Blue Metallic colour.

Rear parking sensor, smart access card entry, ABS, EBD, Anti-theft alarm, day and night rear view mirror, engine immobiliser, child safety locks, front and side impact beams, etc.

Honda City Facelift Interior and Features

Interiors have an all-new touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and mobile mirroring app co-developed with Blaupunkt, six airbags in a higher-end model, leather seat upholstery.

Other features include automatic climate control system, a premium audio system and eight speakers, audio and hands-free telephone controls, paddle shift, engine start/stop button, Rear AC vents, Cruise control, Electric sunroof, sat-nav system, optional seven-inch infotainment system and privacy glass.
