About Movie/Story Plot
The Wars fought under the media spotlight. The Wars which we recognize forever as we do the soldiers who give up their lives for us so that we can live in peace. And there are the unsung heroes. The Men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice and we never came to know.
The Ghazi Attack is the story of an India-Pakistan war, which was fought in secret and its heroes did never celebrate. Starring Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles, it actor late Om Puri in an important role.
Karan Johar presents the film, and it is India’s first war-at-sea film. It was the India-Pakistan war that you did not know about because the mission was classified. The Ghazi Attack is an epic underwater tale of immense courage and undying patriotism of the men aboard the Indian submarine S-21 who has destroyed the Pakistani submarine. PNS Ghazi when it ventured into the Indian waters with an ambition of destroying the INS Vikrant and conquering Visakhapatnam port on the eastern coast India in 1971. The film is about an executive naval officer and his team who had remained underwater for 18 days.
The trailer of Ghazi Attack, the Telugu/Hindi bilingual naval war film, was released on 11 January 2017.
The plot is inspired by the falling of Pakistani submarine, PNS Ghazi, ahead of the 1971 Indo-Pak war near an eastern coast of India by Indian Navy destroyer INS Rajput. It is partially based on debutant director Sankalp book Blue Fish.
The trailer packs in the action one expect from a war film, setting the mood and premise of the film from the word ‘go.’ Almost all the shots are tight close-ups of characters and the action inside the sub.
Touted to be ‘India’s first war-at-sea film’, Ghazi Attack has major parts of the film shot under the water. All the characters look strong and fit, in keeping with their roles. Gone is the bulky Rana (who plays Lt Commander Arjun Varma) from his Bhallaladeva avatar from the Baahubali film. Taapsee, who plays Bangladeshi refugee, too looks suitably lean.
The film shooting started on 3 January 2016
The music is compose by K.
